The Global Evangelical Mission & Christian Charitable Foundation Corporation (GEMCCF) was established in 2021 currently seeking to secure a land lot from the Clayton County Land Bank Board to develop and establish a community-focused facility that serves as a Homeless Shelter, a Youth Empowerment Center, and a Retail Space for charitable fundraising. This multi-purpose project aims to address pressing social issues in Clayton County, including homelessness, youth disempowerment, and the need for sustainable charitable funding. The corporation was incorporated by Rev. Henry Mathis of Albany State University and Rev. Joe Thomas of the Camilla Housing Authority, GA, as a domestic nonprofit organization under the NAICS code for retail trade. Dr. Santha Jetty has been a financial supporter of this charitable organization since its inception and will continue to contribute going forward. Currently the corporation is in the reinstatement process of the 501 C (3) status. The proposed facility will feature a small storefront at the front and a space at the rear dedicated to providing critical services, education, empowerment, and resources.
In addition to its local initiatives, GEMCCF seeks to extend its impact globally by supporting international nonprofit activities. The organization plans to partner with other international charities and missions to provide resources, education, and empowerment to underserved populations around the world especially in Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia. Through a faith-based collaboration, GEMCCF aims to address global issues such as poverty, lack of access to education, and insufficient healthcare, particularly in regions where communities face the greatest challenges. Therefore, the GEMCCF seeks to improve the lives of individuals and families facing hardship, especially youth and homeless populations, while simultaneously fostering community unity and support.
