Project Description

This project will transform a vacant land lot in Clayton County into a vibrant center of hope, services, and community engagement. The development will consist of three key components:
1. Homeless Shelter Facility: A building designed to accommodate individuals and families experiencing homelessness with basic facilities such as rest area and dining area.
2. Youth Empowerment Center: A dedicated space for youth programs that includes classrooms, activity rooms, a multipurpose area for sports or events, and a computer lab. The center will offer mentorship, tutoring, personal development workshops, and social services to ensure youth have a pathway to success and a brighter future.
3. Retail Space for Charity Fundraising: A retail outlet where GEMCCF can sell donated and locally made
merchandise. The space will feature goods from community vendors and India (proposed) which can provide a platform for individuals to contribute to the mission of GEMCC. Funds raised will directly support the operations of the shelter, youth programs, and other charitable endeavors.

Impact Goals:
Homelessness Reduction: Directly improve the lives of 100+ individuals annually through shelter, case management, and long-term housing solutions.
Youth Empowerment: Support and empower 100+ youth annually through mentorship, life skills training, and academic support, leading to a reduction in school dropout rates and an increase in youth employment.
Community Engagement & Fundraising: Raise $100,000 annually through retail sales and community fundraising events, ensuring the sustainability of the homeless shelter and youth programs.
Community Partnerships:
GEMCCFC will collaborate with local government agencies, businesses, churches, educational institutions, and nonprofit organizations to provide the necessary resources, support, and expertise for the successful implementation of this project. Our partnership network will also help increase outreach and ensure the project aligns with the needs of the local community.

Conclusion:
The Global Evangelical Mission & Christian Charitable Foundation Corporation’s proposed Homeless Shelter, Youth Empowerment Center, and Retail Space will be a transformative asset to Clayton County. By addressing the immediate needs of homeless individuals, providing opportunities for youth empowerment, and creating sustainable charitable revenue streams, GEMCC aims to build a stronger, more resilient community for all residents of Clayton County. We humbly request the support of the Clayton County Land Bank Board to bring this vision to life, providing hope and opportunity for the individuals and families who need it most.
